Another Year of Great Music!
Dominic Greco Band Members & Community,
Welcome Back! We were so excited to get together and looking forward to continuing our tradition of old fashioned concerts in the 'park'. We have been busy working to get our music selected, concerts scheduled and are excited to see everyone again. We hope that you have all remained safe, healthy, and, of course, practicing your instruments!
Again we are very grateful for the wonderful relationship between Dover City Schools and the Dominic Greco Band. All rehearsals will be held at Dover High School unless otherwise noted. Parking will be available in the lot across Tornado Alley from the band room.
“We are extremely grateful to the Dover City Schools for the use of their facilities. We are honored to have the long-time support of Dover band directors, Mr. Redd and Mr. Carrick but to also have the support of the school district is very humbling.”, said co-director, Brian Botdorf.
Claymont High School will once again be hosting a concert sponsored by the Dennison Rotary Club. This indoor concert will help celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Dennison Rotary. Our founder, Mr. Dominic E. Greco, became the band director at Uhrichsville High School in 1931. Although his hiring was prior to the community merging and becoming the Claymont district, we want to recognize the connection to our band.
“I'm excited to continue a concert at Claymont High School and work in collaboration with Mr. Bob Michels and the Dennison Rotary Club. It's an honor to help celebrate the Rotary's 100th anniversary. ” said co-director, April Linard.
Co-director, Cheryl Graham is incredibly positive about the group & the future. “The Dominic Greco Band, the gem of Tuscarawas County, brings together outstanding musicians of all ages and provides a sampling of all styles of music. We hope that our audiences are ready to experience the magic of summer night concerts!"
If you are interested in joining the Dominic Greco Band this season, please join us for our first rehearsal on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at the Dover High School band room from 6:30-9:00pm.
