2025-Another Year of Great Music!
Dominic Greco Band Members & Community,
We have started working on programming for what we expect will be an exciting 2025 concert season. Our first rehearsal will be at the Dover Middle School band room on April 24, only nine weeks away! There are six concerts scheduled for this year which starts with our traditional kickoff at the Canal Dover Festival on May 25.
Conducting responsibilities for concerts will again be shared by Brian Botdorf, Cheryl Graham, and April Linard. Along with them will be other experienced band directors within the group that will guest conduct throughout the season.
Co-Director, Cheryl Graham looks forward to the season. “We expect our programs will again be a mix of pieces that the band has played in the past liberally mixed with new and exciting numbers. We can guarantee that no one will be bored!”
“As always we are extremely grateful to the Dover City Schools for the use of their facilities and equipment.” said co-director, Brian Botdorf. “Throughout the off season the Dominic Greco Band was able to help co-sponsor the purchase of a new marimba for the Dover Band program. We are excited to help young students grow in their musical education and thankful for Dover Band’s support of the Dominic Greco Band.”
“As has always been true, we’re on the lookout for new members. We’ll be asking for the assistance of area band directors in identifying promising musicians who can both benefit by playing with us and who can contribute to us in their own right.” states co-director, April Linard. “If you know of someone who qualifies (think in terms of being able to play Grade 5 band music), please put them in contact with us.”
