DOMINIC
GRECO BAND CONCLUDES SUCCESSFUL 2008 CONCERT SEASON
The
Dominic Greco Community Band completed another successful
concert season with final performances at Tuscora Park in New
Philadelphia , Ohio on Saturday, August 16th,
and at The Italian-American Festival in Dover the week
before. Both
concerts were met with large, enthusiastic crowds. This
was the completion of seven summer concerts for this
outstanding band.
The
band has over eighty members and it is a volunteer
organization. They have earned a reputation for their
entertaining and high quality musical performances. As the
band continues to grow, so has their following, as
evidenced by the size of their audiences at all of their
concerts.
The
vision of this popular concert band has been to maintain
in the Tuscarawas Valley , the old-fashioned concert in
the park. This versatile musical
ensemble has achieved this by performing some of
the finest band literature in print along with unique
special arrangements and featuring many of the talented
individual members.
The
audience always knows they will be in for a special treat
when they hear the band. This season one concert was
dedicated to Music Of
The Cities, and next season, one of the
concerts will use the theme, Music
For Fun.
