Re: 2011 Concert Season

Congratulations on completing another outstanding summer concert season with the Dominic Greco Band. This was once again, a truly great season of many highlights. The concerts for First Town Days, Italian Festival, Sugarcreek, and our Season Finale were performances that will be part of all of our memories for years to come. You have really earned the appreciation of the large audiences we have enjoyed throughout this concert season.

I am still amazed at the variety of extremely talented musicians we have in this wonderful band. It is a thrill for me to direct you and a rewarding challenge for me to present all of this talent to our audiences.

Usually after our last performance, I am like most of you, ready for a little break; but that was definitely not my feeling following our final concert. It was very difficult closing down such a great playing band. I knew we were going to have an outstanding final program. The audience size was down a little because of the strange weather before, and during the concert, but they were enthusiastic. I am thankful we were able to get it in. I cannot count the number of people that complimented the band after the concert and for the next couple of weeks. Many told me how much they enjoyed our presentation regarding The President’s March. One person called me on a Sunday to state how much she enjoyed the band throughout the summer. It takes a little bit of ambition for someone to look up my phone number to share their joy hearing this band. We even had a nice little message in the Times Reporter, “30” Second Section.

I want to thank you for your hard work and dedication. You should feel quite proud of your accomplishments and the strong following you have earned at all of our concerts. As you well know, we have begun planning for next year, and it is already setting up to be a musically challenging season. I know all of you thrive on musical challenges!

Enjoy your time off, but keep practicing. I will update you on information about the band on this site from time to time.

“Well done” to all of you!
